A group of foreign women, who were spotted trying to run from police, were arrested at an unlicensed entertainment center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, during the early hours of Friday.
At 3 am on January 25, officers from the police, Immigration Department, Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department of Kuala Lumpur and the National Anti-Drug Agency jointly raided the entertainment center, which did not have a business license, on Jalan Imbi, the China Press reported.
A total of 21 Thai women and two Vietnamese women aged between 20 and 35, were described as guest relations officers at the entertainment center. They were all arrested for misusing their work permits.
A preliminary investigation found that the illegal business had been operating since November last year, and each of the women were charging between 100 to 10,000 ringgit, depending on their male customers and the services they provided.
Another entertainment center on Jalan Loke Yew was also raided by authorities in a separate operation and two Chinese women were detained after they could produce no identification documents. Two foreigners were also arrested after testing positive to drugs.
