上周日凌晨到上午的大概9個小時之中，專營團購業務的拼多多（Pinduoduo）平台出現了小毛病，用戶們發現，用很小的資金就可以佔到拼多多的便宜。比如說，在拼多多的充值平台上，自己只出幾毛錢，就可以給手機話費充值100元（人民幣，約為14.7美元）。其他的巨大優惠還出現在充Q幣、購買一些商品上。
有傳言稱，拼多多因此損失了200億元。對此，拼多多的公共部回應說，傳言不實，實際損失「大概率低於千萬元」。
200億元相對1000萬元，數值懸殊，哪個更接近事實呢？其實稍微一想，我們就知道200億元是不可能的了。以手機充值為例，主流平台如支付寶等都提供這項服務。通常用戶充100元話費，需要自付99.9元，剩下的這一毛錢，是以平台放在中國移動的押金交付的。就是說，中移動收到的仍然是100元，99.9元你自己交，一毛錢是支付寶交的，由支付寶在中移動的資金池支付。
拼多多很可能也是以同樣的方式結算。這種資金池一般有多少錢呢？能上一千萬已經不得了了。這筆錢扣完，中移動就不會再給來自拼多多平台的訂單充值了，因為你自己交的錢不夠100元，又沒有來自平台的錢補足其余部分。這兩天拼多多在密集闢謠，那些曬出充值幾十萬話費的人，基本都是散播謠言。
如果拼多多真的在中移動、騰訊等公司有高達200億元的押金，倒說明這個公司現金流充足，財務狀況極其強健。拼多多這次經濟損失不會太大，主要是名譽的損失。作為新興獨角獸，bug事件讓拼多多暴露出自己經驗不足，在風險管理環節過於薄弱，在業務狂奔的時候，「內功」的積累沒有跟上。
不過這件事倒也並非一點好處沒有。首先，拼多多「洗板」了，足足賺了一波流量，就當花點錢做了一個廣告吧。其次，側面證明拼多多的用戶群確實是龐大並且非常活躍的。
周二的交易走勢證明拼多多的投資人似乎並不在意因這事而損失的一點錢。周二是事發後的第一個交易日，拼多多盤前大跌8%，但交易開始後，竟然逆市上漲，最後收漲0.7%，而同時阿里巴巴下跌3.1%，京東大跌6.8%。
如果拼多多從此以後更加重視技術，提高風險控制水平，長遠的看無疑會為它的健康發展提供更好的保障。那麽，就是壞事變好事了。
