A dashboard video clip showing a young boy who wandered onto a busy road in Kowloon being saved by three policemen has gone viral.

The 22-second video uploaded on Facebook on Thursday showed a boy, about three years old, trying to cross the road at the intersection of Lai Chi Kok Road and Yen Chow Street in Sham Shui Po, the Oriental Daily reported.

The traffic light was red and cars were making turns and almost hit the boy, who stopped in the middle of the road. The boy was not aware of how dangerous his situation was. He ran to the center of the intersection when the lights were still red.

Three policemen saw the boy in the middle of the busy intersection and rushed onto the road. One policeman waved his hands to stop oncoming cars, while the other two ran to the boy and took him back to the sidewalk.

The man who uploaded the video said he did not see any adults chase after the boy and suspected the child was lost.

Many people slammed the parents for not taking care of the boy. They also praised the three policemen for their quick move.
