A Palestinian shot dead two Israelis and wounded another in a West Bank settlement’s industrial zone on Sunday, the Israeli army said.

Since the attack was allegedly carried out by a Palestinian who worked at the site in the occupied West Bank, questions were raised over whether he knew the victims, said an Israeli army spokesman, who added that a manhunt was underway.

The spokesman called it a “terrorist attack” but added that other unspecified factors were involved.

The 23-year-old Palestinian allegedly used a homemade gun, known locally as a “Carlo,” according to the spokesman, who described it as a “lone-wolf attack.”

Surveillance footage being shared online appeared to show the man fleeing the scene with a gun.

The industrial zone is next to the Israeli settlement of Barkan in the northern West Bank.
