Police are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted a Filipina in Sham Shui Po, Kowloon on Wednesday.
The 42-year-old woman told the police that she met a South Asian man on Tuesday and he invited her to stay the night with him at a flat in Sham Shui Po, Oriental Daily reported.
At 7am on Wednesday, the man woke up and asked the woman to leave at once. When the woman refused, this led to an argument.
The woman claimed the man then punched her in the face, injuring her mouth.
She immediately left the apartment and ran downstairs to report the case to the police. She was sent to Caritas Medical Centre for treatment.
Police officers took a report and returned to the apartment, but the man had gone.
The case was classed as assault occasioning actual bodily harm and officers are hunting for the suspect.
