Police were looking for burglars on Hong Kong Island after two break-ins were reported on Tuesday and Wednesday. At 7:29am on Wednesday, a domestic worker called police and reported a break-in at an apartment at Hong Kong Parkview, a luxury complex in Tai Tam, the Oriental Daily reported.
A domestic worker discovered a window had been prized open and the apartment had been ransacked. Police searched the area and were checking surveillance camera footage.
Another burglary took place at 10pm on Tuesday. A domestic worker at a villa on Black’s Link in the Mid-Levels said she heard a strange noise and suspected a burglar was trying to break into the house, news website HK01.com reported.
Police searched the area but no suspects were found. They said they had to wait for the owner to see is anything was missing. Previous burglaries had been reported in the luxury villa complex.
