On Saturday, the Philippine Heritage Institute International (PHII), a private foundation, held its “Tribute 2018” event at the Long Beach Marriott, a hotel near Los Angeles. The event feted awardees under two categories – The White House Millennium Council Initiative: 20th Annual “Award to Outstanding Filipino Nurses”, and the 12th Annual President’s Award: “Profiles in Service, Pillars of Community”, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported.
