A Filipino domestic worker in Saudi Arabia has pleaded for help after accusing her employer of molesting her. The woman, identified only as Hilda, took a video of an assault on her mobile phone and sent it to her cousin Sarah, GMA News reported.

According to the cousin, Hilda was working in the kitchen when her male employer came in and touched her inappropriately. The employer then left for a moment when his wife called him, which gave Hilda time to set up her mobile phone. Hilda said her male employer frequently touched her inappropriately and she knew he would come back.

Hilda showed the video to her employer’s wife, but the wife became angry and threatened to harm her if she did not delete the video. She was also warned not to contact the police by her employer.

When Sarah received the video, she contacted Filipino migrant worker advocate groups, as well as Philippine officials in Saudi Arabia. Consul General Edgar Badajos has sent Hilda’s case to Vice Consul Von Ferrera of the Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
