A blind Filipino woman who does not speak a word of English has gone viral after a video of her singing a popular Whitney Houston hit circulated on social media.

The video of Elsie Balawing, who is in her mid-20s, was uploaded to Facebook by Darrell Burnett. According to Burnett, Balawing is from a small fishing village in the Philippines and is totally blind, the Daily Mail reported.

“She has one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard,” Burnett said in his Facebook post.

Balawing has never attended school and does not know English. However, by listening to songs by famous pop stars such as Whitney Houston and Ed Sheeran, she has learned how to mimic their singing styles.

In the viral video hit, Balawing sings Whitney Houston’s hit “I Will Always Love You”. In just three weeks, the video has had more than 20 million views and been shared over 402,000 times.
