A Filipino woman has given birth while on her way to a hospital in Victorias City, Negros Occidental in the Philippines.
Vilma Salondro, 27, was with her three-year-old son when she headed to a hospital in Cadiz City on Saturday afternoon to have herself admitted when she suddenly felt pain after boarding a bus in Victorias, ABS-CBN News reported.
About two kilometers away from the hospital, Salondro’s water broke. Two female passengers helped Salondro and made her lie down on the bus seats to deliver her baby. She gave birth to a baby girl.
When the bus arrived at the hospital, doctors and nurses rushed inside the bus and brought the mother and daughter to the emergency room.
Salondro was not able to thank the two female passengers, whose identity was not given, for helping her.
She said she hopes her daughter will become a good samaritan just like them when she grows up.
