Parts of an unidentified woman’s body were found in a trash bag in Davao City in the Philippines.
On Sunday morning at Cabantian Road in Buhangin, Davao City, a garbage collector discovered a trash bag that contained a woman’s body parts. The woman’s head, both arms and legs, and upper torso were found, while the lower torso was missing, GMA News reported.
The police first thought the victim was Margie Albarico, 31, who left her home at around 3pm on July 26 and was reported missing by her family when she did not return home. However, after Albarico was found alive by a concerned citizen in Compostela Valley, she was turned over to the police, Sun Star reported.
“On July 31, Albarico was properly turned over to her parents. The dead body is not Albarico, (despite claims by) her parents after she was reported missing last week,” the police said.
Police are currently analyzing security footage from the area where the bag was found in an attempt to identify suspects. The identity of the victim remains unknown.
