A man was sent to hospital after a nasty street battle in Western District on Hong Kong Island on Monday, which was shown in a video clip posted on social media.
A two-minute video shot by a passer-by and uploaded on a Facebook group showed two men fighting on a sidewalk on Hill Road in Shek Tong Tsui, with drops of blood seen on the ground, news website HK01.com reported.
In the video, a man wearing a green top subdues another man, arm-locks him on the sidewalk and says, “Stop? You asked me to stop after hitting me so hard?” The man in the green top man has a bloody nose.
He then punches the other man in the face three times. Blood is seen on the ground.
The defeated man tried to hit back. The man in the green top released him after a passer-by persuaded him to do so.
It was understood that the two middle-aged men had bumped into each other on the street. The one in the green top allegedly hit the other man with his elbow, though he denied this, saying he was just holding his mobile phone. He then received a punch from the other man, and the tussle began.
Police said they received a report from a woman at 5:15pm about the fight.
A 61-year-old man suffered injuries to his head, eyes and knees, and was sent to Queen Mary Hospital in a conscious state.
No one was immediately arrested and the Western Police District will follow up the case.
