Police are hunting for a Vietnamese man who allegedly stabbed a male compatriot in Sham Shui Po, Kowloon on Tuesday evening.
At 6pm, a 27-year-old Vietnamese man who holds a Hong Kong temporary stay permit was intercepted by another man at the intersection of Apliu Street and Wong Chuk Street, Oriental Daily reported.
The second man reportedly stabbed the victim with a 30-centimeter-long knife. The injured victim then ran off before collapsing on Yu Chau Street, where the suspect, who had followed him, stabbed him several more times.
Passers-by called the police as the suspect ran off, carrying the knife with him.
The victim, who suffered wounds to his right arm and forehead and lost a lot of blood, was sent to hospital in an unconscious state, news website HK01.com reported.
Officers searched the area but no arrest was made. A crime investigation unit from Sham Shui Po Police Station is following up on the case.
Reports say that the suspect may have taken revenge on the victim after learning that the victim had had an affair with his wife.
