A Filipino woman allegedly shot and killed her husband on August 18 before committing suicide two days later in their home in Georgia in the United States.

On August 18 in Cumming, Georgia, Jackielyn Belangel Brewster, 32, shot her husband Adrian, 50, then committed suicide two days later in their home. The couple’s two children were in the house with them when the killings happened, Philippine Daily Inquirer reported.

On August 20, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Brewster’s friend, who asked officials to check on the couple. When authorities arrived at the house, they found the bodies of the two. Authorities also found two young children waiting by the front door.

An autopsy was being conducted. The children, aged three and nine, were now in the care of family members. According to ABS-CBN News, Brewster was a victim of domestic violence.

Friends of Brewster have created a GoFundMe page to raise US$10,000 to repatriate Brewster’s remains to the Philippines.
