Macau Judiciary Police were looking for a man who reportedly attacked a Filipino man on Tuesday morning. At 4am, when the victim, a 29-year-old migrant worker, was buying snacks in a food store on Rua da Alfândega, another man attacked him from behind and injured his neck, Macao Daily News reported.

The report did not mention what kind of injury the victim had suffered or if any weapon was used by the attacker.

The injured man left the scene and went to Rua dos Mercadores near San Miu Supermarket, where a passer-by later saw that he was injured. The passer-by reported the incident to police.

Police officers arrived and sent him to hospital.

After an initial investigation, officers learned that the attack had happened on Rua da Alfândega. They went to the food store and collected surveillance video to assist them in a further investigation.

No arrests had been made at the time of the media report.
