A Filipino man was criticized for repeatedly asking for money from his wife who is a domestic worker in Hong Kong.
The man, identified only by his initials S.Q., claimed that his wife had been missing for a year, and had not been answering his calls or messages. He sought help to find her from the Philippine Consulate in Hong Kong, sunwebhk.com reported.
However, S.Q. claimed that the consulate had not responded to his emails. He then sought help from the leader of a Filipino community in Hong Kong. He gave the leader his wife’s name, contact number, Hong Kong ID Card number and her employer’s name and address in Kowloon.
The community leader was able to contact the Filipina and quickly determine that she is not missing and is safe. The domestic worker explained that she had not been answering her husband’s calls because he only asks for money to spend on his motorcycle.
She said she used to send sums of between PHP5,000 and PHP20,000 (US$93 to US$374) to her husband, but that her husband kept asking for more, which made her angry. If she did not send money, her husband would get angry.
When the community leader passed this on to S.Q., he said she was lying and that she also ignores calls from their son and grandchildren. S.Q. said she does not send them money anymore.
The community leader told S.Q. that he should be more considerate of his wife, who had been working in Hong Kong for more than 10 years. The leader said since their son was already working, they should not need to rely on his wife anymore.

Sometimes, we prefer white men because they look different. because we thought that they have stronger arms to protect us when we are weak and sometimes, some of us see white men as more masculine than any other men? we all have different standards and preferences.
