A Filipino construction worker was arrested for raping and robbing a 14-year-old Filipina student in Quezon City in the Philippines.

On Tuesday evening, Randy Depra, 46, was drinking with friends outside the victim’s house, ABS-CBN News reported.

Depra then made his way into the house and entered the room of the sleeping teenager. When she woke up, Depra pointed a gun at her head and held a box cutter to her neck.

After he allegedly started to molest the girl, Depra only paused when the victim said her father was a police officer. However, before escaping he stole PHP300 (US$6), then tied the victim down and gagged her before raping her.

The victim sought help from her siblings and they reported the matter to the police. With the help of security footage, police were able to locate Depra and arrest him.

Depra admitted that he was drunk at the time and asked for forgiveness from the victim. He will face charges of rape and robbery.

According to the police, Depra is a gang member with a criminal record.
