A 30-year-old domestic worker was detained by Hong Kong police on Wednesday for allegedly abusing a six-year-old boy under her care in Hung Hom, Kowloon.
At 9pm, a male employer reported to the police that he suspected his domestic worker had abused his son in an apartment on Chatham Road North, Apple Daily reported.
Police arrived at the apartment to investigate and classified the case as potential child abuse. They arrested the domestic worker.
The boy, who showed no visible injuries, was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for a medical examination.
Media reports did not disclose the nationality of the domestic worker.
Kowloon City Police District’s crime investigation team is following up the case.
