Malaysian police launched a crackdown on illegal gambling on Thursday, raiding numerous gambling dens in Selangor. However, only five Indonesian migrants and one local man were detained in three of the nine premises targeted due to a suspected tip-off.
Between 11pm on July 19 and 1am on July 20, the Selangor police’s Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division raided nine targeted premises in Bandar Parklands, Taman Sentosa and Taman Sri Andalas, where illegal gaming dens were known to be operating, the China Press reported.
However, due to a suspected tip-off, six of the venues were found unattended but had gaming machines, while officers arrested one Malaysian man, three Indonesian men and two Indonesian women after raiding three venues.
A total of 35 computers, 15 laptops, 23 gaming and data machines and 1,332 ringgit (US$328) were seized. All those arrested were detained by Selangor police for further investigation under Section 4B(a) of the Common Gaming House Act 1953.

Joe Wong You’ve got it wrong! China was force by 5 Countries war against China during that time China was weak by Opium from the British lying to them that Opium was good for long life and China lost the hardly fought back war and was forced by British to lease Hong Kong to them, its was seen as a shame having to lost your land to a foreign Country but no choice. But Vietnam do have a choice, there is no need to lease but work out a better deal of co-operation with both Governments have interest and benefit similar to oil exploration, means you can’t buy land but you can co operate with the national oil to work together for both benefit and the revenue income can benefit Vietnam and use it for building your own infrastructure and education for your Country men
