A 42-year-old Filipino engineer pleaded guilty in a Singapore court on Thursday to threatening to kill his 39-year-old wife during a dispute in October last year.
Casipit Geronimo Barrientos was charged with one count of voluntarily causing hurt, one count of criminal intimidation and one count of violating the Women’s Charter during a conflict with his wife Mara in the early hours of October 11, 2017, the Shin Min Daily News reported.
At 2:15am, he was reported to be very drunk and threw his wife’s long-term visit pass at her and started shouting at her after waking her up.
A heated argument started and the husband took out his pocket knife and threatened to kill his wife and pressed the 3.5-inch blade into her neck. He was using foul language to insult his wife.
She managed to call police, who arrived and detained him. The court heard that two days before the incident the man hit his wife in the head and spat on her face.
He had a long history of violence against his wife and continued to use violence against her despite the fact that she had been granted a Personal Protection Order by a court since August 2, 2010.
Omg! He wasted his career! So many filipinos are dying to be hired here but this engr took it for granted!!!

Yes the family was wrecked because of the other woman, no conscience at all to destroy the lives of others for her own selfish reason. The mistress who repeatedly lied to the wife and intentionally hurt my friend and my goddaughter. She should also be in jail.
