An all-female Filipino dance group has won the grand prize at a K-pop dance cover competition held in Seoul, South Korea. The group called Daisy Siete, composed of 13 members, represented the Philippines at the 2018 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival and won the grand prize, the first time the country has won the title, Manila Bulletin reported.

The group performed cover dances of K-pop boy group Seventeen’s songs “Thanks,” “No.F.U.N.” and “Clap” during the final round of the competition, which had 81 contestants from Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Russia, the United States, Mexico and Spain.

The group, consisting of Jan Reyes, Jaimee Deato, Diane Bermudez, Hannah Gabriel, Jamaica Verceles, Desirie Bernardo, Kristel Magbanua, Justine Despues, Divine Gulapo, Roselle Rendal, Corrinne Arriola, Nicole Bables and Mae De Castro, was chosen to represent the Philippines after winning the semifinal round on April 22.

The competition, which is in its eighth year, attracted 3,140 teams from 65 countries in the online and offline preliminary rounds.
