An American man serving a five-year sentence for sexual abuse of a 10-year-old has also been accused of having sex with an underaged Filipina in the Philippines.
Jeffrey H. Ernisse, 61 from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, was found guilty of two counts of producing child pornography, two counts of producing child pornography outside the United States, one count of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a minor in the Philippines and one count of possessing child pornography, Philippine Lifestyle News reported.
Ernisse was sentenced to five years in prison for a previous case in 2016 for sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl. He admitted that he asked the victim to send him pictures of her private parts and he sent her sexually explicit photos.
According to the United States Department of Justice, between June 2014 and April 2015, Ernisse engaged in illicit sexual conduct with a minor in the Philippines. Between March and April 2015, he had contact with a minor for making child pornography.
“The charges contained in the indictment are merely allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law,” the Department of Justice said.
