Two men allegedly involved in the sale of illegal drugs were arrested in Wan Chai on Hong Kong Island on Thursday.
The two men, aged 27 and 29 were detained for alleged drug trafficking, news website HK01.com reported.
At 2pm, officers from the special duty unit of Western District Police Station raided an apartment in Wan Chai and confiscated 20 grams of suspected cocaine, an electronic scale, some tools for packaging, HK$60,000 cash (US$7,644) and a small amount of other currencies.
Officers then went to another apartment and confiscated 40 grams of suspected cocaine, two grams of suspected marijuana, tools for smoking drugs, HK$350,000 (US$44,600) in cash and a small amount of Renminibi, US Dollars and British Pounds.
Police believe the operation closed down a drug distribution center from which the illegal drugs would have been distributed to entertainment premises in Central and Sheung Wan districts.
