Police in southern California are hunting for a Filipino who is accused of beating a 20-year-old father to death.

On May 31,Matthew Luzon Martin Capiendo, 21, and three others were charged with the murder, robbery and kidnapping of Julian Hamori-Andrade, whose body was found by a highway in Azusa, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported.

The police believe Capiendo and three other young men – Hercules Balaskas, Jacob Elmendorf and Francisco Amigon, all 19 – attacked Hamori-Andrade in Capiendo’s home on Goodway Drive near Azusa.

The four men then loaded the victim’s body into a pickup truck and drove to Azusa Canyon, where they beat up the victim again before his body was thrown onto Highway 39.

Balaskas, Elmendorf and Amigon have been arrested and are being held by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The police are now on the hunt for Capiendo, who is 165cm tall (5 feet 6 inches) and said to weigh about 100kg (220 pounds).
