A 29-year-old domestic worker was arrested for allegedly hitting a boy under her care in Sheung Shui, in Hong Kong’s New Territories, on Thursday night.

At around 8pm, a woman reported to the police that the maid had slapped her four-year-old son on his back and his bottom, which caused injuries, Apple Daily reported.

Police arrived at an apartment on Ma Sik Road and arrested the domestic worker for alleged child abuse.

The boy, who was in a conscious state, was sent to North District Hospital for medical treatment before transferring to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital in Tai Po, Headline Daily reported.
