In a video that quickly went viral on Facebook, professional boxer Jay Primo Solmiano, also known as Rapido, who works in Hong Kong as a boxing instructor, was seemingly drunk when seen publicly punching and kicking a fellow Filipino migrant worker named Ricky.
According to a Facebook user named Maria Iluesa Dadulla, Solmiano was with a group of his friends who were also drunk. One of Solmiano’s friends was apparently slapping a woman when Ricky and his friends intervened.
Solmiano reportedly got angry and punched Ricky repeatedly. Photographs of Ricky showed he suffered two black eyes and a broken nose.
After Solmiano posted an apology on Facebook, many netizens were critical of his conduct, saying Solmiano should not be working in Hong Kong and should return to the Philippines.
According to Hong Kong law, the maximum penalty for assault and fighting in a public place is a 12-month jail term and a fine of HK$5,000 (US$637).

This report was based on the facebook post of an emotional sister of ricky and another brother involved in the fight. And there was no fair judgement. Wait till the real story comes out. And as for the truth, it is not the man u r referring to here who made ricky’s face black and blue but the other man (jay’s companion) who got into bloody fight with ricky and his brother and was also sent to the hospital with wounded head and slit lip.
