A 63-year-old Filipino man died after falling into the sea at a yacht club in Tuen Mun in the New Territories on Saturday. At 5pm, a staff member at the Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club in Tuen Mun called police after being unable to locate a colleague on a boat, suspecting he had fallen into the sea, the Sing Tao Daily reported.

Police and firemen arrived and the man was later found by the diving team of the Fire Services Department in the seas off the coast. His body was sent to Tuen Mun Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

It was understood the man suffered from heart disease.

Police are investigating the cause of death to see if the man had suffered a heart attack or suffered from heatstroke as it was the 10th day of a hot spell.
