A Filipino domestic worker has allegedly been stabbed to death by her employer in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
A friend named FireWood Fairudz Fernandez said in a Facebook post on Monday that her close friend Norkisah Lymanh had wanted to return home to the Philippines as her contract was about to end – but her employer would not allow her to leave.
Fernandez said the employer stabbed Lymanh to death but told police that she had killed herself. She said Lymanh’s corpse would be repatriated to Manila on May 14.

Fernandez said Lymanh was a good friend who had worked hard to provide for her family.
She said Lymanh’s employer did not allow her to use her mobile phone. She was only allowed to speak to her family in the Philippines when she sent them money.
On Lymanh’s passport she is listed as 26 years old (born in 1992). However, a statement issued by Dirab Police Station had Lymanh as 30, with her name spelt as “Nour Kishia”.

“His housemaid, NOUR KISHIA, age 30 years has stabbed herself by a knife (sic) to her chest inside the kitchen in their house,” the police report said.
Fernandez urged people to share her post in the hope it would reach the Philippine government.
So far, there have been no reports in the media about the maid’s death or statements from the Philippine Embassy.

Victorino Fragata tama…maka fyi wagas..hhhmmmppp.
I saw by my own eyes some Filipinos and indonesian maid was massively abused by their employers in middle east country ,, when they have returned home with major burns, injured, traumatized and mantlely stress return without pay their salaries not even single penny and return home,,,,i did talk to them in the aircraft and they do share their sad stories and how the employer treat them like animal and sexual harassment them ????,,,
Sad but thats true….majority talaga sa kanila is masasama ang ugali!!
So dapat lng cguro I can ang saude kung gnon
Minda kasi po swertihan sa MGa amo, Kaya kahit sang lugar pag Minalas di tin Alam king kailan at Daan wag Nauman sabihin tang agad may do magandang karanasan Yong Tao..
Maybe safe country to professional expats …BUT NOT TO HOUSE MAIDS, Be SPECIFIC.
Sana ma ban na rin Dh sa Saudi.
What do you mean not all employers aren’t good?! but yet majority are bad and the maids are suffering. Just because your own employer is good doesn’t mean it’s all of them. I’ll say majority like 2 out of 10 employers are good.. the majority rest are bad.
Salute to all ofw’s and more power to us. HE always guide and protect us.
Since this problems was already looked into by our President himself and the Philippine government,i think it’s time to stop once and for all sending manpower to these Arab countries as housemaids. As for other skilled workers, there is no problem as they would be housed in the barracks not with thier employers.for housemaids, they would stay inside the house of their employers and with that alone, they are exposed to all kinds of maltreatments, worst senario, would be butchered.
Stop sending DH in Middle East, those employed with good employers can stay as long as they want. Time for a change and seek for safer working place. Filipinos are dedicated, committed, harworking people and they should be treated fairly.
The Saudi’s do not want their evil deeds to be made public.
