National Development and Reform Commission and four other departments have issued a guideline to regulate the construction of theme parks, the Economic Information Daily reported.
According to the guideline, theme park developers should focus on the main business, reasonably controlling the scale of supporting industries around the theme park. And it is forbidden to use the theme park to engage in any real estate projects.
Meanwhile, the construction is required to adhere to local conditions and follow the law of the tourism market, so as to prevent blind expansion or speculation.
Also, the construction shall be market-oriented. All types of investment entities are required to participate fairly and avoid the formation of local debt risks, financial risks and social risks.
