A 40-year-old Filipina maid filed a police report on Friday claiming her employer had slapped her the night before, the Apple Daily reported.
The domestic worker said she had an argument with her female employer over a transportation fee at the employer’s home in Kwai Chung in the New Territories the night before. She claimed her employer slapped her.
She filed the police report the following day after traveling with her employer to the Diocesan Boys’ School in Mongkok, Kowloon, where the employer’s son was enrolled.
The Filipina was sent to hospital for an examination. Police were investigating and no one has been arrested.

It’s unfair !if it’s the employer who reported the maid to the police of any abuse they arrest the maid and put into jail with out any proof presented
Itong mga punyetang mga chekwa na ito, yung mga frustration nila, yung stress nila, yung mga problema nila, kadalasan sa. Mga helpers nila inilalabas.. Dapat sa mga iyan mag apply ng karatista at dun nila. Ilabas ang mga galit nila sa. Mundo at hindi sa mga taong walang kasalanan
Always make a police report at the first physical abuse. Whether is your husband, boyfriend or anyone. Nobody has the right to hit anyone. If you don’t report, mostly it will recur again or someone else after you! Physical abuse can form into habit if you don’t report. You are actually helping the abuser to change when you report it. Most domestic violence started from the first slap and repeat it after that when their anger reach to the same level. Curb the violence, report it, and the abuse will stop!
