The Consulate General of Indonesia in Hong Kong has revoked the licenses of five employment agencies and suspended the services of one due to violations of their code of conduct.
The consulate said it revoked the business accreditation certificate of five agencies that failed to record any business transactions within one year.
The five agencies were Trinitypal Employment Service Limited, Silver Employment Centre, Trusty Employment Company, Ka Fung Employment Agency Company and Po Sing Employment Service Centre.
The Win Dragon agency was temporarily suspended for 90 days due to retaining the passports and contracts of Indonesian migrant workers and charging fees beyond the applicable provision.
Consul General Tri Tharyat called on other employment agencies to comply with the code of conduct to ensure the protection of Indonesian migrant workers in Hong Kong.
