A 28-year-old woman from Africa was arrested at Hong Kong airport on Sunday after Customs officials found 750 grams of methamphetamine hidden in her bag.

The drugs have an estimated market value at about HK$385,000 (US$49,081). When officers examined the woman’s suitcase, the found the drugs hidden in a metal handle of her luggage, Apple daily reported.

The woman was arrested and charged with drug trafficking and officers were investigating the source of the drugs as well as where it was to be sold.

The maximum penalty under Hong Kong’s Dangerous Drugs Ordinance is a fine of HK$5 million and life imprisonment.
