Three people were arrested by police in a drug raid in Tai Kok Tsui in Kowloon on Monday night.

Acting on a tip-off, police from the crime unit at West Kowloon Regional Headquarters raided a subdivided apartment at 60 Larch Street in Tai Kok Tsui at 10pm and confiscated an unsealed plastic box with suspected cannabis buds inside, Oriental Daily reported.

The estimated street value of the suspected drugs was around HK$150,000 (US$19,119).

A 35-year-old male Vietnamese asylum-seeker, a 51-year-old woman also from Vietnam and a 49-year-old local man were arrested in the apartment for alleged drug trafficking.

Officers said a Vietnamese woman who rents the flat believed the suspects were selling drugs to other Vietnamese who live in the area.

Police are investigating the source of the suspected drugs and their sales channels.
