A Filipino man accused of two counts of indecent assault on a female compatriot pleaded not guilty at Eastern Magistrates’ Court in Hong Kong on Monday.
Jesnar I Bade, a maintenance man, was arrested after a Filipino employed as a domestic worker in Mid-Levels on Hong Kong Island alleged that she had been assaulted indecently in July last year, sunwebhk.com reported.
According to court records, the incident allegedly occurred after the maid was asked by her employer to call a technician to troubleshoot an air-conditioner.
Bade was sent to the magistracy for mention of the case on Monday and pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Bina Chainrai set the trial for March 29.
Two exhibits presented by the prosecution as well as a cautioned statement will be challenged, the defense said.
