A short video clip of a woman in a bikini sitting on the edge of a highrise overlooking Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbor has gone viral online.
The clip starts with a dizzy look from a rooftop down at streets and flyovers on the ground, before it crosses to a young lady in a black swimsuit – sitting precariously outside glass railings, dangling her legs over the edge 150 meters in the air – against a backdrop of Hong Kong’s Wan Chai and Causeway Bay.
Netizens believe the daredevil beauty was sitting on the roof of the 35-story Twenty One Whitfield in Tin Hau, a hotel popular among tourists, as its rooms command an impressive panorama of the harbourfront and the legion of neighboring skyscrapers.
The hotel earned a ‘seedy’ reputation earlier this year after videos were posted online about guests walking naked in rooms and even having sex, believed to be taken from the top of a building opposite.
The hotel management subsequently called the police and reminded guests that while relishing the view, they should remember to pull the curtains for better privacy.
Hong Kong has also seen rooftop daredevils who flaunt their skills while jumping or wire-walking on narrow, steep roofs and windowsills at giddy heights.
Police also have made arrests for unauthorized trespassing or acts that endanger public safety.
