An American man has been sentenced to 330 years in prison for raping Filipino children and producing child pornography.

In October, David Paul Lynch, 56, was found guilty of traveling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and for possessing, receiving and producing child pornography, Philippine Lifestyle News reported.

According to the US Department of Justice, Lynch talked online to several people from the Philippines to find children he would abuse.

Lynch made numerous trips to the Philippines in 2005 and 2016, where he would film himself having sex with children.

On December 30, 2016, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Lynch in San Francisco as he attempted to board a flight to the Philippines.

The FBI searched his home in Venice, Florida, and found self-produced images and videos of child sexual abuse, as well as e-mails soliciting child pornography.

On February 23 in Tampa, Florida, Lynch was sentenced to 330 years and was ordered to forfeit his home, computers and other electronic devices.

It is not known whether Lynch’s contacts in the Philippines have been identified.
