An overseas Filipino worker proposed to his girlfriend during a flight to Vietnam on Valentine’s Day. Mark Mejorada proposed to his lover of five years, Aires Bantayanon, during their flight from Manila on Wednesday, GMA News reported.

Mejorada, with the help of the flight crew, walked down the aisle toward his girlfriend and gave her a large bouquet of flowers. He knelt down on one knee and pulled out a ring.

Bantayanon, who was in tears, agreed to marry Mejorada.

The passengers and flight crew applauded the couple and congratulated them on their engagement.

In a similar situation in 2012, a Filipino who had returned home from working in Qatar proposed to his girlfriend while they were taking a ride in a helicopter.
