The first group of “direct hire” overseas workers from Davao in the Philippines have arrived in the Taiwan city of Taoyuan. They touched down on Thursday after being hired by the I-Mei Foods factory, the Taiwan News reported.
Last November, I-Mei Foods launched a direct hiring drive in Davao City. The company then paid visa fees and airline tickets for the group of successful Filipino candidates.
This first batch of foreign workers has marked a milestone in a “cooperation” program between the Manila Economic and Cultural Office, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, the provincial government of Davao and I-Mei Foods.
The second group of Filipino workers is expected to arrive in Taiwan next month.

Hindi lang taga davao, doon lng sila nag conduct ng hiring, at meron din sa manila poea at davao poea, parang kami lang noon pupunta pa ng manila agency para sa interview . .Taga cebu kasi kami..
