An overseas Filipino worker who returned home for a vacation has been found shot dead in Zamboanga City on Mindanao island.
Sadikal Apostol, 30, was checking his parked motorcycle when a gunman, who was riding a motorbike, called his name and shot him in the chest and face on Thursday, Zamboanga Today reported.
The suspect escaped after the shooting. Apostol was taken to the Zamboanga City Medical Centre but was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to the police, the motive for the killing still remains unknown. They said the suspect was waiting for the victim and even called his name. Investigations continue.

How did the police had known that the gunmen even called the victim’s name before shooting him? Were they at the scene when the incident happened?

It is heartbreaking that our country is no longer a safe place for us Filipinos. Killing is everywhere. Is this the way of life we want? Total change? I am so disappointed with this government.
