Online diagnosis is becoming an increasingly profitable business in China, according to an article on Yicai.com.

Hao Dai Fu, which means “good doctors,” is an online platform that includes about 170,000 doctors who provide medical services.

Wang Hang, founder and CEO of the company, said that 60,000 doctors on its platform earned a total of 310 million yuan (US$48.61 million) in 2017.

Wang said the highest annual income among them is 1.39 million yuan, followed by 1 million yuan and 960,000 yuan.

Using their spare time online to provide consulting services can help bolster a doctor’s income, and that temptation has become the driving power of the Internet medical industry.

So far, there are around three million licensed doctors in China.
