Four men were arrested and weapons seized by Hong Kong police in a raid on Wednesday in Kowloon’s Sham Shui Po area. At 2pm, officers from an anti-triad unit raided a shack built under a flyover on Tung Chau Street and allegedly found various weapons they deemed potentially offensive, Sing Tao Daily reported.

Police confiscated one warrior knife, two golf clubs and a hand-made knife from the temporary settlement, which media described as a “five-star” shack.

Photos showed that inside the 200-square-foot (18.5-square-meter) temporary settlement, two sofas, carpeting and some other furniture, as well as plants, wines and audio equipment, were found.

Police had received a tip that the settlement was used as a drug den, but no illegal substances were found during the search, Oriental Daily reported.

Four men aged 23 to 68 were arrested for alleged possession of weapons. One of the men was a Pakistani asylum seeker.

Police claimed some of them had triad backgrounds.
