A Filipino domestic worker in Dubai was obtained a house in her home town and insurance policies funded by her employers for whom she has worked for 11 years.

April Gatin, 33, was able to purchase land and construct a house in Iloilo city in the Philippines after her Irish employers, Henry and Elaine Horan, gave her extra money on top of her monthly salary, The Filipino Times reported. The money went into a fund that had built up enough after five years that she could make the purchase.

Gatin’s employers also bought her insurance policies to secure her future. In the meantime, also helped her acquire a driver’s license in Dubai.

The Horans also helped Gatin’s family in the Philippines when her father needed medical treatment after a traumatic experience in Saudi Arabia in 1994. Her father is now in good shape thanks to her employers’ generosity.

Gatin expressed her gratitude to the Horan family for their generosity and kindness. She has been able to give her family everything they needed because of her employers.

Gatin is still working for the Horans and taking care of their two children.
