Filipino-Chinese beauty contestant Angeline Flor Pua, 22, was crowned Miss Belgium 2018 on Saturday and will represent that European country at the Miss Universe and Miss World pageants later this year.

Pua, whose father is Chinese and mother is Filipino, can speak Dutch, English and Filipino. She also understands French, according to Missosology.org, which analyzes beauty pageants.

Angel, as she is known, was born in the Belgian city of Antwerp, where her parents met. She was crowned Miss Filipino Europe in 2016.

Last September, she won the title of Miss Antwerp, which allowed her to compete in the Miss Belgium 2018 pageant.

The beauty queen is training to be a pilot, according to her Instagram biographical details. She describes her hobbies as baking and traveling.

On Saturday, the cheerful young woman was crowned Miss Belgium 2018 after a stand-out performance among 30 contestants from all over the country at Plopsa Theater in the town of De Panne.

The first runner-up in the pageant was Zoé Brunet, 17, from Jemeppe-sur-Sambre, while the second runner-up was Dhenia Covens, 24, from Vremde.
