A 24-year-old Hong Kong man surnamed Lau was arrested in Kowloon’s Kwun Tong on Tuesday for allegedly attacking a woman and stealing her bra and panties.

The 38-year-old was assaulted and robbed while walking home from a bus terminal in Yau Tong, Oriental Daily reported.

Wearing a skirt and long boots, she was allegedly attacked from behind by a man as she was walking close to a car park near Yau Mei Court.

The man has been accused of assaulting her before threatening her again when she refused to give him money.

He then demanded that she removed her her bra and panties, according to Sing Tao Daily.

He told her he had not dated a woman for three years and asked her to be his girlfriend after trying to sexually assault her, Sing Tao Daily reported.

An off-duty police officer spotted the incident but failed to catch the man as he fled with the woman’s underwear.

The woman was later taken to hospital and needed three stitches to a head wound. A surveillance camera captured the incident and police later arrested the man.
