Actress and model Liza Soberano is the first Filipino to rank No 1 in TC Candler’s annual list of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces in the world. Soberano placed fourth on the list two years ago. She then placed second last year.
Other Filipino celebrities were also in the list. Television host Nadine Lustre ranked 78th, actress Jessy Mendiola ranked 71st, and another actress, Kathryn Bernardo, ranked 60th, Star Cinema reported.
Meanwhile, in the top 100 Most Handsome Faces of 2017, a number of actors well known in the Philippines made the grade. James Reid ranked fourth, Enrique Gil ranked 61st, and Daniel Matsunaga ranked 88th. This year’s most handsome face is K-Pop star V (Kim Tae-hyung), a member of boy group BTS.
The Independent Critics List by TC Candler was founded in 1990.
The two lists were released on Wednesday.
