The temperature in Hong Kong is expected to start dropping on Friday and will fall to 14 degrees Celsius on Saturday as a northeast monsoon approaches the south China coast.

The temperature on Thursday afternoon was 22 degrees but is forecast to drop to 16 on Friday, according to a weather bulletin on the Observatory’s website.

For the next few days, the weather will be fine and dry and the temperature difference between day and night will be large, the Observatory said.

Meanwhile, Macau will be cooler than Hong Kong on the weekend.

The Macau Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau has forecast that the weather will become very dry and cold on Saturday with the temperature hitting a low of 12 degrees, Headline Daily reported.

The temperature will pick up gradually next week.
