A 40-year-old Filipino domestic worker was seriously injured after being hit by a bus in Caine Road in Central’s Mid-levels on Hong Kong Island on Monday.
The Filipina tried to cross the road between parked cars near Sacred Heart Canossian College of Commerce but was hit by a school bus heading toward Sai Ying Pun, Sing Tao Daily reported.
The 51-year-old driver surnamed Kwong said the woman suddenly came out and was hit on the right side of his school bus, leaving extensive blood on the road, Apple Daily reported. Kwong immediately stopped the vehicle and called the police.
The domestic worker was sent to hospital in a serious condition.
Police were investigating if the woman involved was jaywalking.
According to Google Maps, there is a pedestrian footbridge and a zebra crossing near the location where the accident happened.
I think they should put pedesdrian lane on that area bcoz that was prone in accident

Unreliable witness ito. Sasabihing naroon sya eh ang nakasagasa bus tapos sasabihin nya truck. Naku baka imbes makatulong lalong hindi kasi iba ang bus sa truck kabayan. Be consistent para matulongan si kabayan and go forward for a statement sa mga police kung nasaksihan mo ang nangyari at yong totoong nakita mo ang sabihin lang. Walang dagdag walang kulang.
