A Filipino domestic worker in the United Arab Emirates has accused her Dubai employer of raping her several times and threatening to assault her if she resisted him.
The domestic worker, 52, who came to the UAE in September 2016, said her employer, 62, began raping her in March, The New Arab reported.
She said her employer raped and sexually assaulted her several times and he threatened to beat her if she tried to resist him.
At noon on October 4, the man raped her again. Instead of keeping quiet, the domestic worker ran away and filed a complaint at Al Qusais police station, Khaleej Times reported.
According to media reports, a forensic report by the police confirmed that the domestic worker was raped. There were bruises on her body as well.
A court trial as been set for December 24.
