Hong Kong people finally experienced some winter weather as the northeast monsoon brought cool and cloudy weather into the South China Sea region.
The temperature on Monday night and Tuesday morning will fall to about 16 degrees Celsius in the urban areas, according to a weather bulletin posted on the Hong Kong Observatory’s website, and a couple of degrees lower in some New Territories.
On Tuesday, the lowest temperature in Ta Kwu Ling will be 12.8 degrees, Sheung Shui to 13.9 degrees, Tai Po to 14.4 degrees and 14.5 degrees in Tseung Kwan O, Apple Daily reported.
Bright periods on Tuesday afternoon are expected, with the highest temperature reaching 20 degrees.
The long-expected cool weather will last until Friday, and temperatures will gradually pick up starting on Saturday.
