A migrant worker from Nepal who had apparently forgotten his home keys fell to his death from a residential building in the Malaysian state of Selangor after attempting to climb into a 19th-floor apartment last Wednesday night.

At 11:30pm, the man was found lying in a pool of blood with severe head injuries on the first floor of one of the blocks of Flora Damansara, an apartment building in Petaling Jaya, China Press reported.

Preliminary police investigation found that the victim, who worked as a security guard in the Empire City Damansara complex, was trying to climb into his apartment using an exterior pipe when it broke, causing him to fall, said Petaling Jaya Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din.

Police thus ruled out suicide but listed it as a case of sudden death.
